1. Who we are
This site is operated by The Worman Foundation Ltd, a UK charitable company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales under company number 16326267, registered office 4th Floor, Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 6EB. We refer to ourselves as “we”, “us” or “the Foundation”.
The Foundation is currently in the pre-registration phase — it is not yet registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Gift Aid is not available on donations until registration is complete.
2. The site
This site provides information about the Foundation, accepts donations on our behalf, lets companies apply to be corporate sponsors, and publishes brief retold news from our beneficiary partner charities. The site is provided free of charge.
We aim to keep the site available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue, or change parts of the site without notice.
3. Donations
- All donations are voluntary and made to The Worman Foundation Ltd. Funds are pooled and distributed to UK-registered brain cancer charities as described on the homepage.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. By donating you also agree to Stripe's consumer terms.
- Recurring donations are taken monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the manage your donation section — we'll email you a secure link to our payment provider's portal — or by emailing donate@thewf.uk. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing date.
- Gift Aid is not available until our Charity Commission registration is complete. We will update the site when this changes.
4. Refunds
Charitable donations are generally non-refundable. We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis where a donation has been made in error or by someone without authority to make it. To request a refund, email donate@thewf.uk within 14 days of the donation.
5. The donor roll
If you tick the “Show my name on the donor roll” box on the donate form, the name you provide will be displayed on /donors and on the homepage supporters strip. You can ask us to remove your name at any time by emailing hello@thewf.uk; we will action removal within one working week. We never display email addresses or amounts donated.
6. Corporate sponsorship
Companies wishing to appear on our sponsor wall must enquire via sponsorship@thewf.uk. Acceptance is at the Foundation's discretion. We may decline sponsorship that would conflict with our charitable purpose, the interests of our beneficiary partners, or the safety of people affected by brain cancer.
7. News and AI-retold content
The “What's happening” section contains short summaries of news articles published by our beneficiary partner charities, rewritten by an AI model and credited back to the source. Each card includes a link to the original article, which is the authoritative version. We do our best to preserve facts faithfully and review summaries before publishing, but AI can make mistakes; if you spot one, please email hello@thewf.uk.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Make a donation using payment information you are not authorised to use.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect material from the site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the underlying infrastructure, or other users' data.
- Use the site to harass, impersonate, or distribute malware.
9. Intellectual property
Site content (including text, images, and code) is owned by or licensed to the Foundation. The Worman Foundation name and logo are our trade marks. Beneficiary partner logos and names belong to the respective charities; nothing in these terms grants you a licence to use them.
10. No warranty; limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Foundation excludes all implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the site is limited to the amount of any donation you have made to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one displayed on this page; the “Last updated” date tells you when it last changed.
12. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
13. Contact
Any questions about these terms or anything else on the site — email hello@thewf.uk.
